Cozy Master Bedroom

                                                                              Before:
It's no surprise, I love neutral colors. Whites, light grays and all the shades in between. They used to be my go-to color choices whether in decor, clothing, accessories...pretty much everything in life. They are a safe bet for me, but now I'm finding an overabundance of these 'safe' colors can be kind of blah. Our master bedroom has been sitting in the 'before' stages for over seven months. I wasn't sure for a while what I wanted to do with it, but after looking online for bedroom inspirations, the thrill of going for a dark and moody space was something I knew I had to try.

Walls painted Benjamin Moore Baby Seal Black
The dark walls make the room extra cozy. I switched out pillows I already had, but plan on keeping my eye out for some new ones.

The bedroom is still a work in progress: Next project-building an industrial bed and installing copper light fixtures
Mike and I built this pallet console when I had a snow day from school. The top is from a pallet we already had and we bought pipe from Home Depot and sprayed painted it with Rustoleum's copper paint. We plan on switching out the lamp for something more industrial.

One of my all time favorites!!! This original topographic Colorado map is from 1913. Mike and I were talking with an up-cycle/vintage store owner downtown who had just sold a different CO map. She was waiting on this one to arrive next and in just a few weeks, we had this beauty!
